Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I am pleased to say that this is just a sounding board to start a conversation with multiple people without having to be in the same place at the same moment. So please come with an open mind, that we all have our own opinions and this is not a place to try and change those opinions.

DISCLAIMER: My opinions are not meant to hurt anyone's feelings and are not meant to single any one person out as the object of the blog entry. These entries are here to help me work out my own issues in my life. I feel that this is kinda like therapy for me, once I hit post then it's like I let that issue go and it's gone.

Just so you know

So why do people think by saying "just so you know" at the end of the sentence makes people aware of whatever they are telling you.

In some cases, that can be true. Maybe I don't know the fact you just told me.

But what if I already knew that fact. Adding "just so you know" just infuriates me to no end. Yes I know "the t.v. is on" cause I'm watching it or that "the door is still open" cause i can hear the street traffic or feel the breeze.

So what if I already knew that if I was the last one watching TV, I would turn it off, or the last one out the door, that I would close and lock the door.

I feel that when someone adds "just so you know", you are implying that I didn't know the fact you are talking about and that I was really that stupid that I didn't know, that I was oblivious to my surroundings or that i just didn't care.

Why do people talk and talk and talk?

Anyone who insists on talking squeaky baby talk to a dog is a moron. Baby talk is for babies. Honestly, if it was just babble, i wouldn't care. but it's so squeaky, it's like nails on a chalkboard. it actually makes my skin crawl.

Do you really think the pet understands what you're saying even in a normal voice, why do you think they would understand it in a high pitched noise. All that happens is that baby talk gets them excited.

For those of you who are under the impression that "dogs respond better to high pitched sound", it's rather annoying to your human counterparts.

How would you feel if I talked to you that way?

And then you get the ones that feel, not only do they talk to pets this way, they feel that they have to have a whole conversation with them. Talking about everything from what they are doing to the weather. From what they are watching to what they are eating. Then there's them asking the pet what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Is that because they need to always hear themselves talk? Is it because they feel that some of the subjects they are talking about, the other people in the room care about those subjects. Do they not understand that if no one else is talking, they don't feel like talking, so they don't feel like hearing you talk either.

And then they ask a question that doesn't require a decision from the other party, cause they already know the answer or they are gonna do it anyways. Again, I think it's just so they can hear themselves talk.

Finger Licking: bad habit?

I found yet another bad habit that people do while eating a variety of food. They lick their fingers.

I don't care what you say - it's gross and the smacking while licking is annoying. Yeah, yeah, they could wipe their hands off with their napkins. No... It's just uncalled for. Someone doing that in my presence is just plain gross, annoying and did I mention gross?

It must have been sometime recently, someone was eating some kind of finger food in my vicinity and the sound of them making that smacking sound when they put their finger in their mouth and pulling it out after cleaning the gunk off is just gross.

She didn't seem to care that people may be grossed out by that or that there may be other germs on her hands.

Do these types of people not realize that this is one nasty habit?
